The information involved depends on which Povnd features you use and what you choose to provide. The main categories are:
Registration and account details
When you create or manage an account, we may handle your name, artist or stage name, email address, phone number, country or region, social links, profile image, and any label or management details you supply.
Artist profiles and release content
Your artist profile may include the information you choose to publish about yourself. For each release, we may handle the audio files, artwork, titles, credits, lyrics, release dates, metadata, identifiers such as ISRC and UPC codes, streaming links, and promotional materials you submit.
Payment, royalties, and withdrawal details
To manage paid plans, we may handle billing information needed to process your subscription. To administer royalties and withdrawals, we may handle the payout details you provide in your account. Checkout is handled by a payment provider; Povnd's public website identifies Paystack, and payment processing is also governed by that provider's own terms. Please do not send full payment-card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive credentials by email or through a general contact form.
Analytics, cookies, and technical information
When you visit the website or use your dashboard, we may handle technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device details, operating system, login activity, pages visited, approximate region, referral information, and analytics collected through cookies and similar tools, as described in section 3.
Service and support records
When you contact us, we may keep records of your request so we can respond and operate your account, releases, analytics, royalty reporting, and payout features.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate and improve Povnd services. In practice this means creating and administering artist accounts, reviewing and delivering release submissions, providing smartlink and promotional tools, showing the analytics and royalty reports available in your dashboard, processing plan payments, responding to support requests, communicating service information, protecting the platform and investigating suspected fraud or misuse, and meeting legal obligations.
Streaming and royalty figures depend on reports supplied by stores, streaming services, payment providers, and other partners. Their reporting schedules and records can affect what appears in your account.
5. Data storage, security, and retention
Security
We apply reasonable administrative, organisational, and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No internet transmission or online service can guarantee absolute security, so please protect your account credentials and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain legal and financial records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and prevent fraud or abuse. Some information may remain in backup or archived systems for a period after that. The retention period for each data category will be confirmed by Povnd before publication. 6. Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may be able to request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate details, deletion of information we hold about you, objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, or to opt out of marketing communications. You can also update much of your account and profile information directly in your dashboard.

7. International data processing

8. Children's privacy
Povnd services are not intended for people under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
